This project was a contract job for my former boss at American Dakota. I handmade 10 architectural folders showcasing American Dakota's Woodland Collection, a line of carpet planks that mimic real wood. The leather I used was etched by a local design shop in Calhoun, Ga, and I used traditional bookbinding techniques to wrap the leather around each folder panel. The most tedious part of the whole process was hammering each hole along the bindings so I could hand-stitch each panel together. This job was very time-consuming, but I thoroughly enjoyed the process once I got the hang of what I was doing.
